Saturday shopping

Last night, Husband joined other 'couponers' at Kroger and Tom Thumb to take advantage of some special deals and expiring coupons.

Results:
Tom Thumb total before coupons = $96.52
minus coupons/special deals = $55.13
total out of pocket = $41.39 for a savings of 57%
We could've done better had we done a little more work with our coupons before we went but I sent Husband with our coupons. More on that later.

Kroger total before coupons = $47.79
minus coup0ns/special deals = $24.44
total out of pocket = $23.35 for a savings of about 51%

I'm planning on taking advantage of some special deals at CVS and Walgreens this week as well.
